Michael comes to TDCSS with broad experience in public service having worked for the Ministry of Children and Family Development and also Community Living British Columbia. Most recently he has been the Team Leader for the MCFD service streams of Resources, Guardianship, Children and Youth with Special Needs, and Youth Agreements.
His education includes Classical Studies at UBC, a bachelor of social work from Thompson University, and successful completion of the Executive Education certificate program from UBC’s Sauder School of Business. He is currently completing his MBA specializing in Social Innovation.
Michael has also been involved in volunteering for and supporting Terrace’s early childhood education and childcare community through his work with the previous Terrace Campus Child Care Society.
He brings enthusiasm, passion, and humour to his work. Michael is personally and professionally committed to the lifelong work of helping the children, families, and individuals of our community. He is also known for making a serious bowl of chilli.
