POSITION: Regular Part-time Floater (two positions available)

BASE POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Residence Worker/Community Support Worker

ADDITIONAL CLASSIFICATIONS: Awake Residential Night Worker, Adult, Youth and/or Child Worker, Residential Child and Youth Worker

BASE WAGE: GRID LEVEL 10 Step 1 $18.15 – Step 4 $21.14 hourly

GRID LEVEL ADDITIONAL CLASSIFICATIONS: 6-11 based upon program and position worked

DEPARTMENT: Residential Services, Support Services

LOCATION/ HOURS OF WORK: various locations, 20 hours/week guaranteed (Grid 10). Hours from 21-34 will be at the grid associated with the classification worked.

SUMMARY: TDCSS fosters an environment of continuous learning and a work culture of professional development. All employees of TDCSS are expected to participate in ongoing professional growth and development activities. Using a respectful person served centered team approach: the Support Worker provides care, guidance, and support to people who have a developmental disability, acquired brain injury, FASD, behavioral challenges, mental health issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other diagnoses.

POSITION SUMMARY: Regular part-time floaters will be assigned 20 hours a week, guaranteed, within three or four different program areas. Although this position is guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours a week, staff are still employed on an “on-call” basis to cover absences of a regular employee or augment staff during peak periods where regular employees have not requested topped up hours. Hours/shifts will be assigned on the basis of seniority and suitability in accordance with availability. This position can be scheduled up to full-time hours, without earning overtime.
