Position Regular Part-Time Residence Worker
Department Community Living Services – Cluster, Community Inclusion Programs, Crescentview, Eby, Graham, Sunset, Tuck, Medeek, Respite
Summary TDCSS fosters an environment of continuous learning and a work culture of professional development. All employees of TDCSS are expected to participate in ongoing professional growth and development activities.
Using a respectful person served centered team approach; the Support Worker provides care, guidance, and support to people who have a developmental disability, acquired brain injury, FASD, behavioral challenges, mental health issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other diagnoses.
Reporting to the program supervisor, the successful candidate will serve as a resource to each participant, providing supports to ensure individual’s needs are met. They will demonstrate a sense of compassion for our persons served, using good judgement during conflict management.
Start Date ASAP
Hours PART-TIME: 34 hours/week
Shifts Days, Evenings and Weekends
Sunday: 7a-2p, Wednesday: 2p-8p, Thursday: 3p-10p, Friday: 10a-5p, Saturday: 10a-5p
(this is the current schedule, but it is subject to change based on the program needs)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably holding a relevant diploma or certificate with experience providing service to people who have a developmental disability.
- Mandt or CPI Training
- Diploma or Certificate in a related field
- Non-Aversive Behaviour Management
- Foodsafe Level 1
- Completed TDCSS competency based modules on Sharevision
- Medication Administration Procedure Training
- Communication Workshop
- One other relevant training/workshop
Grid Level 10 – $18.15 (step 1) – $21.14 (step 4) hourly
