Position:          Regular Part-Time Residence Worker(s)

Department:   Community Living Services – Cluster, Community Inclusion Programs, Crescentview, Eby, Graham, Sunset, Tuck, Medeek, Respite       

Summary:         TDCSS fosters an environment of continuous learning and a work culture of professional development. All employees of TDCSS are expected to participate in ongoing professional growth and development activities.

Using a respectful person served centered team approach; the Support Worker provides care, guidance, and support to people who have a developmental disability, acquired brain injury, FASD, behavioral challenges, mental health issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other diagnoses.

Reporting to the program supervisor, the successful candidate will serve as a resource to each participant, providing supports to ensure individual’s needs are met. They will demonstrate a sense of compassion for our persons served, using good judgment during conflict management.

Start Date:       ASAP 

Hours:              PART-TIME: 28 hours/week

Shifts:              Days, Evenings and Weekends

Qualifications:

Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

An equivalent of education and/or experience will be considered for this job. Job Descriptions are available upon request from the TDCSS Human Resources Department.

Pay and Benefits will be in accordance with TDCSS and BCGEU Local 312 Collective Agreement. This position requires union membership.
